Large Animal Services
Herd Health
Carroll County houses a large inventory of vaccines, dewormers, supplements, or antibiotics needed to keep your herd healthy and thriving. We can also troubleshoot problems occurring on the farm and figure out the best plan moving forward.
Bull Soundness Exams
We will help assess the libido and serving capacity of your bull and provide you with accurate reportings of the results.
In-House BVD Testing
BVD or Bovine Viral Diarrhea is one of the most economically significant diseases in both beef and dairy cattle. There are several diagnositic tests that our in-house lab can provide you with to help prevent BVD in your cattle.
Pregnancy Diagnosis
Accurate pregnancy diagnosis in livestock is achieved via ultrasonography. Pregnancy in cattle diagnosed as early as 30 days, fetal sexing, and AI vs. Bull bred can be determined via ultrasound. We also have a small animal ultrasound available for the doctors to get a more comprehensive look at the abdomen if needed.
Heifer Development
We ensure heifers are provided with the latest advances in nutrition, reproduction, health and effective stockmanship techniques.
Emergency Care
We provide after-hours emergency services for both companion animals and livestock. Call 660-542-6149 for the after-hours veterinarian.
